Ralph n Hannny's first blog.

Well, to start with this is us in the photo above;  We live in Kelmscott in the hills near Perth in Western Australia.  We've been travelling this spaceship Earth for more than fifty years as a couple, in fact we celebrated 50 years of marriage earlier this year.  We have Three adult children, Michael, Jeanette and Susan.
They can tell there own stories. 
It is Christmas day tomorrow and all the family will gather including our three children, three grandchildren and if we are lucky our two great grandsons.  Boxing day we get together in a larger and wider family and friends gathering at Coogee Beach.
The next day we fly to Holland to visit close friends.  We plan to blog some of this trip in the days ahead.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you in the blog-sphere.

    Wow finally I have been able to add something!!!
    Our trip to Holland was amazing. What a fantastic new year right next to the German border. In fact there is no border. we rode a bike to the local German bakery and buy some of that fantastic German bread. Not at all like the white cardboard like stuff we get in Perth. The New Year fireworks sounded like a small war for about a day. I learnt from a 9 year boy old how to make carbide explosions using an empty coffee tin. The hospitallity was wonderful thanks to our dutch hosts. I was most impressed with the German electric windmills, the barns roofed completely with solar panels and a local old dutch windmill that is now grinding flour again after restoration. MAGIC Ralph!!
